Musings : Visual Cues

I am realizing that a foreign environment causes one to rely more heavily on visual stimuli and surrounding markers. I cannot read signs or menus or train tickets.  It's the sensation of one sense being dulled which heightens the others.  It is allowing me to see things that I may have overlooked previously.
