Mendocino is an amazing place. Having traveled a bit and seen some very stunning scenery, I would say it more than holds its own. Sheer cliffs, barking seals, misty beaches scattered with wood, shaded forests with meandering streams and a very quaint town. I spent my days in silence, praying, listening to the crashing surf that echoed in my ears long after I'd left the coastline.
Standing on the very edge of a steep outcropping into a stiff wind at dusk, turbulent blue –black waters below and grass sweeping across my feet overwhelms me with the sensation of being utterly alive.
